Star Loving
Star is from Johnstown, Colorado, and moved to Casper a few years ago with her husband. Volleyball has been a passion of hers for many years. She began playing in middle school because it was the only sport offered, continuing from sixth grade through a year in college. She has been coaching for seven years and counting. Helping players discover their potential and develop a lifelong love for volleyball is one of the many ways this sport has brought joy to her career so far.
Star had her daughter Alyx in the middle of the 2025 season, and she hopes this is an omen that her love for volleyball has been passed down to her.
This will be her fourth year with OCVC and her second year as the director. Her goal is to share the love of volleyball with Casper and help players grow as athletes and individuals. She believes volleyball teaches lifelong lessons that help you navigate life at all ages.
She has three cats that she loves and adores and hopes to one day fulfill her dream of building a house in the country, complete with a volleyball court.

Board Vice President
Personnel Committee Chair, Programs Committee
Ali Roberson
Ali is from a small mountain town in Colorado, but she moved to Casper in 2013 and has considered it home ever since. She teaches Chemistry at KW. Ali played volleyball in middle school and high school and has since found great enjoyment participating in the recreational league. She has coached three seasons of 4th–6th graders and thoroughly enjoyed being a coach. This is her second year with OCVC, and she was eager to become part of her hometown club.
Volleyball is unique in that it offers frequent opportunities for a fresh start. Every point is a chance to make a change, and every game is a new beginning. With the ability to quickly move past mistakes, big plays can follow even after a misstep. This sport fosters tremendous growth through good technique and intentional practice.
Ali has two dogs she loves more than anything: Millie and Graham (affectionately nicknamed "Milligram"). She has fostered 25 dogs from high-risk shelters, caring for them until they were adopted into their forever homes. Her greatest desire is to save every puppy in need of a loving home.

Board Secretary
Programs Committee Chair, Fundraising Committee Chair
Elizabeth May-Dickinson
Liz is a Casper native and comes from a big family, all graduates of NCHS. Volleyball has been a significant part of her life. She began playing at a young age and was a member of NC’s state championship-winning team in 2013. After high school, she continued her volleyball career by playing in college. Liz has coached for over six seasons and has been a member of the OCVC board for six years. She is passionate about helping players understand the fundamentals of the sport, which she believes helps them fall in love with the game. Like in life, Liz emphasizes that focusing on the basics and fundamentals is key to finding success in volleyball.
Liz lived in southern Spain for a year and a half, where she fell in love with the people and culture. During her time there, she became fluent in Spanish and now uses her second language daily. She loves to collect Indoor plants. She also has a deep love for animals and has worked proactively in veterinary medicine, dedicating countless hours to caring for and administering to animals of all kinds.
Liz and her husband, Jacob, share a dream of one day opening a Cat Café.

Board Member
Personnel Committee, Programs Committee
Aaron Denton
Aaron is a Casper native who was first introduced to volleyball through the recreational center 30 years ago, where he loved being able to participate in the sport. He started coaching four years ago with OCVC, and this is his third year on the board. His favorite thing about volleyball has evolved; it used to be being able to jump so high that you could hit the ball on the 10-foot line, but now he loves watching teams that play well together.
Aaron has written a children’s book about a skunk, and one day he might publish it, like many of his peers have suggested. He hopes to retire at 62, coach volleyball until he dies, and be in the best physical shape for the rest of his life.

Board Member
Tournament Committee Chair
Caryn Young
Caryn is a Casper native who graduated from NCHS and attended the University of Wyoming, where she earned her bachelor's degree in marketing. She raised her three kids in Casper and has always loved volleyball, but watching her daughters play was the icing on the cake. Caryn served on the board of a volleyball club when her daughters were players, and when they aged out, she decided it would be great to coach for the club. After coaching for four years, she began thinking about how she would run a club differently. This sparked discussions with Karen Cattles about turning their shared pipe dream into a reality.
In 2016, they decided it was time to take the leap, and OCVC was born! One of Caryn’s favorite parts of volleyball is the joy it brings to players when they achieve milestones—not just winning, but moments like getting their first overhand serve over the net, making a block in a game, or achieving three touches on the ball. Caryn’s goal each season with OCVC has been to know every kiddo by name. Most years, she succeeded, though the COVID season made it challenging with masks.
Caryn loves being a part of the OCVC family!

Janelle Haworth
Janelle grew up on a farm outside of Billings, Montana. She attended college at MSUB, earning degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. Janelle has coached for many years in various places, including California, Worland, and NCHS. She has been with OCVC since its inception in 2016, serving as both a coach and a board member.
Volleyball holds a special place in her heart, allowing her to foster a love for the game while instilling lifelong values in each player. Janelle enjoys watching scary movies, has three dogs, and dreams of one day owning ALL the dogs.

Board Member
Fundraising Committee, Tournament Committee
Jolene Biddlecome
Jolene is from Casper, Wyoming, and volleyball has been a huge part of her life for the past nine years as a player and now two years as a coach.
She absolutely loves seeing the dedication and heart that athletes put into this sport—it’s amazing for her to watch all the hard work pay off both on and off the court.
A fun fact about Jolene is that she actually went to college for welding! It’s a unique skill set that taught her a lot about focus, precision, and creativity—qualities she now brings into her coaching.

Outside of volleyball, one of Jolene’s biggest dreams is to become a private chef for a celebrity someday. She loves experimenting in the kitchen and creating meals that bring people together, much like the game of volleyball does.
